Rider hurt in November crash becomes island’s 11th road death

A 64-year-old man who was injured last month in a collision has become the island’s eleventh road death of 2025.

Glen Ford succumbed to injuries sustained at about 6.15am on November 19, in a collision involving a van and a motorcycle on Brunswick Street near the junction with Dundonald Street in Hamilton.

Mr Ford, the rider, was unresponsive but breathing when he was found by police at the scene. Medical attention continued at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman offered condolences, and said a family liaison officer was assisting Mr Ford’s family.

There were 13 road deaths in 2024. The worst year for road deaths in the last decade was 2021 with 17.
