A woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired after her car overturned in Sandys.

A police spokeswoman said that at about 8.45pm, police and other first responders received a report of an overturned vehicle east of White Hill, Sandys.

She said: “Details remain limited at this time, however, it is believe that a female motorist mounted the curb in the eastbound lane before the car overturned.

“The woman is not believe to have suffered any serious injuries and has been arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.”

Police were this evening diverting traffic away from the area while the scene was being cleared.
