Ascot announces leadership transition
Ascot has announced a leadership transition as it moves to expand its reinsurance operations in the United States, with the chief executive of its Bermuda business set to relocate later this year.
Justin Keith, the chief executive of Ascot Bermuda Ltd, will move to the US to lead the expansion of Ascot’s treaty reinsurance offerings, the company said. The move signals a strategic push to broaden Ascot’s presence beyond its established facultative reinsurance business in the American market.
The company said the expansion into treaty reinsurance was aimed at supporting long-term, profitable growth, while offering a wider range of solutions to reinsurance clients across North America.
Mr Keith has led Ascot’s Bermuda operations and will now focus on building and managing multidisciplinary treaty portfolios in the US, drawing on his experience in developing reinsurance platforms across multiple lines.
As part of the transition, Marc Amen, chief executive of North America, will take on the role of interim chief executive for Bermuda.
Ascot said it was grateful for Mr Keith’s leadership in Bermuda and described the transition as part of a broader strategy to strengthen its reinsurance capabilities across key markets.
“We expect these updates to enable continued success and growth at Ascot,” Mr Amen said. “We also look forward to working more extensively with our reinsurance clients across North America and continuing to deliver the value they have come to expect from our organisation.”
