A charity invited members of the public to nominate mentors who have positively influenced their lives.

A statement from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda said one man and one woman mentor will be chosen from the nominees during the charity’s mentoring month celebration on January 29.

This event will take place from 12.30pm until 1.30pm on the City Hall steps in Hamilton.

The statement said: “Mentors play a vital role by providing guidance, encouragement and support that help individuals grow, make positive choices and build confidence in their future.

“This initiative aims to shine a spotlight on the many individuals in Bermuda who selflessly give their time, guidance and encouragement to help others succeed.”

Annette Glasford and Norris Burgess Jr were named Mentors of the Year for the 2025 event.

The charity added: “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda encourages everyone who has benefited from a mentor’s support to take this opportunity to say thank you and help celebrate those who make a lasting difference.”

All nominations must be e-mailed to bbbs@bbbs.bm by January 22
