Fire broke out in a Mangrove Bay, Somerset, business and is believed to have caused serious damage yesterday afternoon.

No one was injured, according to the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, which was called at about 4.30pm, appeared to be under control by 6pm.

Jody Place, the distraught owner of Nakada Electric Bikes, formerly Exim Home Goods, told The Royal Gazette he was not ready to go into detail, but the BFRS said at the scene that the fire likely originated from one of the electronic vehicles. Started in 2012, the business added e-bikes in 2017.
