The screenings have been specially curated for Bermuda to celebrate local legend Best before the documentary goes on tour around the Fifa World Cup host cities.

The Bermuda showings come about a month after the London premiere of the documentary at Sadler’s Wells East, which opened in February 2025 and is one of London’s latest iconic cultural venues,

Located at East Bank, the city’s newest cultural quarter is at the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, home to West Ham United.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Dan Egan, the documentary traces Best’s journey from Bermuda to English football’s top flight. Among other key events, the film revisits Easter Sunday 1972, when Best, Clive Charles and Ade Coker became the first Black trio to start a match in England’s First Division — an historic moment that transcended sport.

Featuring newly uncovered archival footage and exclusive interviews, the film includes appearances by Harry Redknapp, Kasey Keller, Les Ferdinand, Viv Anderson, and Ian Wright, who reflect on Best’s impact across generations and continents, and on football’s ongoing journey towards greater inclusion and equity.
