Police report serious crash at West End

Traffic was being diverted this afternoon from the scene of a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Scotts Hill Road in Sandys.

Police described the crash, which occurred near the junction with Bob’s Valley Road, as serious. Officers responded at about 1.20pm.

Early information suggested the car was travelling along Scotts Hill Road and the motorcycle was exiting Bob’s Valley Road.

The driver of the car was not believed to be injured.

However, the motorcycle rider sustained what were believed to be serious facial injuries. The male passenger also sustained facial injuries.

As of 2.15pm, police were processing the scene and diverting traffic. Drivers were advised to use alternative routes.

Witnesses were asked to call Pc Imani Scott on 211 or e-mail iscott@bps.bm.
