Texas woman charged with importing hallucinogenic mushrooms
An American woman was accused of smuggling cannabis and hallucinogenic mushrooms into the island in an incident last week.
Kristian Davis, 25, from Houston, Texas, was charged in Magistrates’ Court with importing cannabis, Delta 9 THC and psilocin/psilocybin — hallucinogenic chemicals found in some mushrooms — into the country on February 6.
Ms Davis was further charged with possessing all three drugs in St George’s with intent to supply.
She was not required to enter a plea to any of the charges as the matter must be heard by the Supreme Court.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson remanded Ms Davis into custody until March 2, when the case is scheduled to appear before the higher court.
