The RG/BSX Index finished up 85.56 points (2.57 per cent) to close at 3,416.90.
Butterfield Bank rose $1.50 (2.9 per cent) on the Bermuda Stock Exchange to end the day at $53.40, with 19,433 shares changing hands.
Devonshire Industries also saw activity falling $1.50 (23.1 per cent) to close at $5 after 9,761 shares traded.
The turnover was $1,088,254.
Butterfield rose 47 cents (0.89 per cent) on the New York Stock Exchange to finish at $53.25, with a volume of 208,783 shares.
