New Bermuda broker relationship executive
I-RE, the captive specialist insurance and reinsurance underwriters, has appointed David Berlanga to a broker relationship management role.
The British company is underwriting for US insurer partners, with a reinsurance company in Bermuda.
I-RE said it caters to mid-market business owners with RE-PAID, an off-the-shelf commercial property and general liability captive product specifically designed to enable brokers to quickly and easily deliver for high-performing US mid-market clients.
The company said: “In his new role, David will be responsible for building and strengthening existing broker partnerships. He will promote I-RE’s RE-PAID captive product, supporting brokers and mid-market clients through digital outreach, webinars, and in-person meetings.
“David joins I-RE from Marsh McLennan, where he spent three years in account management for mid-market clients. He also brings experience from the health and life insurance sector, where he mentored entry-level brokers in developing their client and communications skills. Earlier in his career, David worked in marketing for real estate investors, helping them leverage CRM systems and marketing tools to grow their businesses.”
