Three sponsors arrange Hamilton Parish clean up

Staff from The Swizzle Inn will help other volunteers clean up an area of Hamilton Parish on Sunday.

A statement said the Lions Clubs of Bermuda, restaurant staff, KBB and visiting international Lions members will work between Swizzle Inn and Blue Hole Park, starting at 10am.

It explained: “This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to environmental stewardship, community service and protecting Bermuda’s natural spaces.”

Jay Correia, The Swizzle Inn owner, is donating supplies for the event and said: “KBB and the Lions are two great organisations and we are happy to be associated with this clean-up.”

Angel Smith, KBB’s executive director, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the support from both the Lions Club and Jay and his team at The Swizzle Inn.

“It’s inspiring to see community partners step forward with such enthusiasm.

“Together, we will make a meaningful impact on one of Bermuda’s treasured natural areas.”

The statement said the event “reinforces KBB’s mission of keeping Bermuda clean and green and aligns closely with the Lions’ longstanding tradition of service”.
