Drivers injured in multi-vehicle crash in Pembroke

Two drivers were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Saturday morning resulting in a car veering off the road into an embankment.

Just before 11:30am, police responded to the incident involving three motor cars near the junction of St John’s Road and Tulo Lane, Pembroke.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “Upon arrival officers found one of the vehicles had gone over a nearby embankment.

“It appears that vehicle was travelling east on St John’s Road when the driver lost control of it and struck another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, before going off the roadway and over the embankment.

“The impact appeared to push the vehicle that was struck, backward into a third vehicle.

“The drivers of the first two vehicles sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

“The driver of the third vehicle did not appear to be injured.”
