Car badly damaged in crash near Berkeley Hill, Pembroke

A car crashed into a roadside wall in the eastbound lane of North Shore Road in Pembroke near the junction with Overview Hill shortly before noon today, police reported.
Officers found the vehicle partially blocking the road and remained on the scene directing traffic, which was restricted to one lane, until the “extensively damaged” car could be towed away.
The driver, who complained of neck pain, was treated at the scene by EMTs and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for injuries not deemed to be serious.
Anyone with information was asked to call the main police number, 295-0011, or the non-emergency reporting number, 211.
