Omni Group offers new platform
Local information technology group The Omni Group this week launched a new platform that will give small and medium-sized companies access to advanced computer solutions.
The platform, called TVIS, allows TOG to create customised computing solutions on demand by creating high-end servers ?on the fly? for customers to rent rather than buy.
The Omni Group president Delano Seymour said the platform is designed so that internal IT staff or third party consultants can manage TVIS and retain control over their IT infrastructure.
Julian Carlington, vice president in charge of operations, said: ?Companies that rent applications to you come with a significant caveat; you must also make that company your IT management vendor.
?What?s worse, once a company has done that it becomes very difficult to make a change, effectively giving up control over their IT destiny.?
The company said after developing the product over the last 18 months, it can now handle any client back office or line of business application that runs on Windows, Linux or Solaris operating systems.
The Omni Group will be featuring the product their booth at the upcoming Technology show hosted by BMG at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess tomorrow.
