Man injured after crashing into a tree in Pembroke

A man was taken to hospital with a suspected head injury after a crash near the junction of Cedar Avenue and Angle Street.

A police spokesman said last night that details were limited, but initial information suggested the man lost control of his motorcycle and struck a tree.

The spokesman said: “He has been transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment of his injuries, the extent of which is unknown at this time.

“The roadway at the collision scene is currently closed to vehicular traffic and motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes to get to their destinations.”
