A technical problem resulted in delayed payments to financial assistance clients yesterday but the funds will be issued today, the Government advised.

The Department of Financial Assistance said it was working with the Accountant-General and banks to make sure that all transactions “are completed successfully and without further disruption”.

It added: “Clients who were impacted by this issue will be notified directly once payments have been fully processed.

“The department sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public’s patience and understanding.”
