A water supply issue occurred at the government quarry today, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment said.

A spokesman said shortly before 5pm that the ministry was alerted of the issue at the Hamilton Parish facility, which was addressed promptly once it was brought to the attention of senior management.

He added: “The issue has since been resolved and normal operations have resumed.”

The news site TNN reported today that workers at the site had downed tools over the issue.
