Paradise Mobile has retained its title from online speed testers Ookla as Bermuda’s fastest mobile network.

The award is based on analysis of consumer-initiated Ookla speed test results from devices across the island in the second half of 2025.

Paradise Mobile clocked a median download speed of 376.9 megabits per second and an upload speed of 41.2 Mbps, comfortably ahead of competitors on both measures, according to the report by Ookla.

Sam Tabbara, CEO of Paradise Mobile, said: “Securing the Ookla award for the Fastest Mobile Network once again is a testament to our relentless focus on network excellence.

“We didn’t just want to build a network: we want to build the best network. By consistently delivering top-tier speeds, we are ensuring that Bermuda remains a global leader in digital infrastructure.”

This accolade follows the company’s involvement in the Mobile World Congress Barcelona.

On Tuesday evening, Paradise Mobile hosted an industry networking event at Soho House, bringing together colleagues and partners from across North America and Europe.

The reception welcomed representatives from tier-one telecom operators, technology partners, regulators and government representatives from across the world, Paradise Mobile stated.

During the event, the company shared updates on its international progress, noting advancement towards securing additional operating licences. Paradise Mobile added that it expects to announce expansion into new markets in the near future.

The company also contributed to three roundtables at MWC. Zlatko Zahirovic, Paradise’s chief technology officer, presented on AI considerations for connectivity, resilience and growth in island economies in the Ministerial Programme Caribbean and Pacific Islands Roundtable.

Mr Tabbara said: “MWC is the heartbeat of our industry, and it was the perfect backdrop to celebrate our latest Ookla win. We are proud to represent Bermuda on this stage as we prepare for our next phase of global growth.”
