Freisenbruch Insurance Services Ltd has launched a new benefits advisory practice aimed at helping Bermuda employers navigate rising costs and complexity in employee benefit programmes.

The Hamilton-based firm said the new unit will provide independent advisory and broking services across group health, life, disability and pension plans, acting solely on behalf of employers in negotiations with insurers.

The practice will be led by Michelle Jackson, a well-known figure in Bermuda’s insurance market with more than 20 years of experience. She previously held senior leadership roles at Argus and BF&M, where she oversaw group health, life and pensions portfolios.

Freisenbruch said the new service is designed to support employers through the full life cycle of their benefit programmes, including plan design, procurement, renewal management and performance monitoring.

Patrick Neal, chief executive of Freisenbruch Insurance Services, said the appointment strengthens the firm’s ability to deliver independent, high-quality advice.

“Michelle brings deep expertise across group health, group life and disability insurance,” he said. “Her knowledge of the market, combined with her strategic insight, will be invaluable as we grow this advisory capability.”

Freisenbruch said the launch comes as employers face increasing pressure to manage benefit costs in a limited and evolving market, with demand for independent advice continuing to grow.

Mr Neal added that the firm aims to give employers greater confidence that their benefit programmes are “well designed, effectively managed and positioned to meet both current and future demands”.
