Drink-driver banned after crashing bike

A drink-driver who crashed his bike in Southampton has been banned from driving for 18 months.

Dimitri Tucker, 39, admitted not providing a blood sample after the crash when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

The court heard that police responded to the incident along Middle Road, near Industrial Park Road, on June 16, 2024.

Officers smelt alcohol on his breath and noticed that two of Tucker’s teeth were missing.

Tucker became violent with staff at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and refused to give police a blood sample at the facility.

He was fined $1,300 in addition to being banned.
