Police investigate sudden death of female in Southampton

Police have launched a full investigation into the death of a woman in a Southampton residence yesterday evening.
A Police spokesman said the woman was found unresponsive in the home around 6pm.
The spokesman said: “Shortly before 6pm on Saturday, April 11, police were dispatched to a Southampton residence following a report of an unresponsive female found inside.
“Officers secured the scene which was attended by an on-call doctor who subsequently pronounced the female deceased.
“At this time, foul play has not been ruled out.
“A full investigation has now begun.
“No further information will be provided until the results of an autopsy in relation to this matter are known.”
