A “serious” collision between a car and a motorcycle, just east of Somerset Bridge, was reported by police shortly after 7pm.

Drivers were warned to expect a wait while the scene was processed.

A police spokesman urged motorists to avoid travelling through the area to help minimise delays — and said the public would be advised once the road was clear.
