Dill scores four for Bermuda in coach Robinson’s last game
Bermuda 5 Grenada 3
Bermuda came from behind in an eight-goal thriller to give outgoing head coach Naquita Robinson the perfect send off after she announced her retirement shortly before kick-off at Flora Duffy Stadium on Saturday night.
The Lady Gombey Warriors got off to a dreadful start in their final Concacaf Women’s Qualifier as the Grenadians jumped out to a 3-0 lead with Robinson watching from the stands after she was sent from the bench by Mexican referee Priscila Perez.
However, Bermuda rallied to score five unanswered goals with FC United of Manchester forward Keunna Dill leading the charge with four and Bournemouth midfielder Kenni Thompson grabbing the other to complete a remarkable comeback in front of 715 home fans that were kept on the edge of their seats by the high-scoring, entertaining contest.
Melania Fullerton, Sheranda Charles and captain Nia Fleming-Thompson were on target for Grenada.
