David Gibbons to be PwC’s Caribbean region CEO
David Gibbons, has been appointed as the incoming chief executive officer of the network of PwC firms operating in the Caribbean, effective July 1, 2026, the firm announced today.
Mr Gibbons, a partner at PwC Bermuda, where he has worked for 21 years, succeeds Frazer Lindsay, who has served as CEO since 2016. Frazer will retire at the end of his term on June 30, 2026, concluding a 36-year career at PwC.
In his new role, Mr Gibbons will oversee the network of independent PwC firms operating in the Caribbean, in the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guyana, Jamaica, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago.
“It’s a tremendous honour to serve as the next CEO, especially as we stand at a pivotal moment for professional services regionally and globally,” Mr Gibbons said.
“With geopolitical tensions, evolving economies and the impact of AI, our clients are navigating tremendous change. I am confident that the network of PwC firms operating in the Caribbean has the right blend of people, capabilities and technology to assist our regional clients to seize opportunities within these challenges.”
Mr Gibbons was born and raised in Barbados, where he started his career. He then moved to Bermuda 21 years ago and has served as a partner for the past 12 years.
For the past seven years, Mr Gibbons has been Human Capital Leader on the region’s Core Leadership Team. He also served as Assurance Leader for PwC Bermuda for the last five years.
David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados and a Chartered Professional Accountant in both Bermuda and Nova Scotia.
PwC described Mr Gibbons as “a recognised expert on regional and global insurance trends, and as an authentic leader, strategist and innovator”.
The firm added that Mr Gibbons would be focused on growth, prioritising stakeholder relationships, people and technology, which combines with his “no-compromise” approach to quality.
“David is the right leader for this moment,” Mr Lindsay said. “He brings a sharp vision and a deep understanding of our markets and clients. I look forward to working with him over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
