Devonshire crash leaves two people injured

A serious three-vehicle collision in Devonshire this afternoon has left two people injured.

A police spokesman said shortly before 8pm that the collision took place on Middle Road, just east of the junction with Chaingate Hill, and involved a car and two motorcycles.

He added: “Details are limited at this time, but it is understood two individuals have sustained non-life-threatening injuries and have been transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, for further treatment.

“The collision scene is being processed and the roadway closed with traffic diversions at Middle Road and Chaingate Hill, as well as Middle Road and Hermitage Road.

“Motorists are urged to approach these diversion points with caution and follow the instructions of police officers assisting with traffic flow.”
