Daniel Phillips named on 2026 All-American Conference Team

Daniel Phillips made it into conference team in singles and doubles

One of Bermuda’s Davis Cup stars has added to his growing reputation by being named on the 2026 American All-Conference Team.

Daniel Phillips, who helped Bermuda reach World Group 2 after defeating Georgia in Cyprus in February, was selected to the All-Conference team in both singles and doubles, one of only two players to receive that honour.

Competing for Tulane University, Phillips and his doubles partner Lance Nisbet are ranked 41st nationally, with the Bermudian finishing with a 16-11 record in singles.

Tulane made it to the American Conference Championships this month, where they were knocked out in the quarter-finals 4-1 by Rice, the No 1 seed in the conference.

Phillips brought home the sole point for his team by beating Petro Kuzmanok, who was selected as the 2026 American Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Year by the league’s head coaches.

Bermuda fans are likely to get a glimpse of Phillips in action on in September when the island hosts the Davis Cup World Group 2 match against Mexico.
