The Berkeley Institute raised $4,000 for a charity that offers care and grief support throughout the island.

A cheque for the funds, raised through The Berkeley Institute’s Christmas Walk pledges, was presented to the Gina Spence Programme on May 1.

A statement from the charity said: “This generous donation will directly support programmes that provide healing, hope and emotional care to seniors, families and children navigating grief and loss, helping to transform lives during some of their most difficult moments.”

Gina Spence-Virgil, founder and advanced grief recovery specialist at the GSP, said: “This gift is more than a donation — it is an investment in healing, restoration and hope for those carrying the weight of grief and loss.

“We applaud The Berkeley Institute for embracing the true spirit of community, compassion, and purposeful giving.”
