Woman admits inflicting bodily harm

A Devonshire woman faces being sentenced in July for causing another bodily harm.

Mitayah Richardson, 20, admitted the offence when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Richardson committed the offence, which she initially denied, in Sandys on March 12, 2025.

The charge was amended from an earlier allegation that Richardson caused grievous bodily harm with intent to disable the same victim, which she also denied.

Magistrate Maria Sofianos ordered a social inquiry report be written for Richardson and extended her $5,000 bail until July 8, when she could be sentenced for the offence.
