Axis Capital Holdings has made Austin Su head of alternative risk, North America.

Mr Su will lead the development and execution of Axis’s alternative risk and structured casualty strategy across North America.

Reporting to Anna Tan, head of wholesale casualty, North America, Mr Su will focus on building and scaling the company’s alternative risk transfer platform, delivering innovative solutions for complex customer needs and advancing Axis’ capabilities in this growing segment of the market.

Mike McKenna, head of North America said Mr Su is a proven leader with deep expertise in structured and alternative risk solutions.

“He has a strong track record of building high-performing businesses,” Mr McKenna said. “He joins Axis North America at a pivotal time as we continue to invest in speciality solutions and expand our presence in alternative risk, supporting customers with tailored structures and long-term risk management strategies.”

Mr Su joins Axis with more than 25 years of experience in the global insurance industry, most recently serving as head of structured risk solutions, Americas at Axa XL.
