Students take to runway for All Grads fashion show
Graduates from senior schools across Bermuda took to the runway in a fashion production inspired by the events that shaped the year they were born.
The All Grads Rhythm & Fashion Show ran at the Earl Cameron Theatre at City Hall and drew inspiration from the defining headlines of 2008.
It featured Barack Obama’s election as US president, the global financial crisis, Hurricane Ike and the rapid rise of smartphone technology.
About 35 students modelled their own clothing in the production after responding to an open call on social media.
The students represented The Berkeley Institute, CedarBridge Academy, Warwick Academy, Saltus, Somersfield Academy, Mount Saint Agnes Academy and several home schools.
Video projections tied to the major events of 2008 accompanied the performances throughout the show, which ran through the weekend.
