An antiviolence demonstration led by Bermuda’s youth is to take place this month.

The event is being organised by Youth Vision Promotions, a community organisation that promotes antiviolence and social responsibility.

Saving Lives Together takes place on June 19 from noon to 1pm, starting at Bernard’s Park and ending on the steps of City Hall.

Desmond Crockwell, the director of Youth Vision Promotions, said: “This event is a powerful showcase of young people’s strength, leadership and unity in promoting peace and standing against violence in our community.

“It provides an opportunity for students from across Bermuda to come together and use their voices to encourage positive change, hope and safer communities for all.

“We believe that the involvement of our students would greatly contribute to the success and impact of this demonstration.

“Their participation would also send a strong message that our schools stand united in supporting youth empowerment and antiviolence initiatives.

“Every public and private school has been invited to send youth representatives to this demonstration, with most schools agreeing to do so.”

Further details will be made available.
