Air Canada’s commitment to Bermuda highlighted
Air Canada has been instrumental in growing the island’s tourism and keeping Bermuda connected “to key source markets”, the Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport said.
Owen Darrell spoke after a meeting on Monday with Michael Rousseau, the carrier’s chief executive, and officials of the Bermuda Tourism Authority.
Mr Darrell added: “We value this partnership and look forward to building on it in the years ahead.”
Erin Wright, the acting chief executive of the Bermuda Tourism Authority, welcomed the opportunity to engage with Air Canada’s leadership and “strengthen our ongoing relationship with Air Canada”.
Billy Griffith, the chairman of the BTA board — who is also chairman of Bermuda’s Air Service Development Committee — also attended.
Air Canada has been servicing Bermuda for 78 years, supporting the island’s connectivity, tourism growth and international accessibility.
