Compre appoints Taylor to senior underwriting role
Compre has appointed Graham Taylor as managing director of underwriting as the Bermudian-domiciled speciality reinsurance group strengthens its senior leadership team.
Mr Taylor will report to Rachel Bardon, chief underwriting officer, and will lead the group's retrospective reinsurance activities while overseeing the execution of new transactions across its portfolio.
He joins fellow senior underwriting leaders David Quinn and Zameer Mitha as Compre expands its capital solutions platform.
Mr Taylor brings more than 20 years of experience in legacy and transactional reinsurance. He joins Compre from Catalina Re, where he served as head of mergers and acquisitions and worked on the company's global expansion and restructuring, including acquisitions, disposals and reinsurance transactions.
Before that, he spent almost 15 years with Enstar Group, most recently as senior vice-president of mergers and acquisitions, leading transactions in multiple jurisdictions.
Ms Bardon said: "We are delighted to welcome Graham to Compre. He brings a strong track record in deal origination and execution, which will be invaluable as we continue to grow our underwriting platform and broader proposition.
“Graham's extensive experience and commercial acumen will further strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients.”
Mr Taylor said he was pleased to join the company during what he described as an exciting period in its development.
He added: “While focused on retrospective business – traditional legacy transactions – I will also support Compre's work in meeting demand for capital-optimisation-focused reinsurance solutions and very much look forward to working with Rachel and the team.”
