HSBC Bermuda is continuing as the Cup Match lead sponsor, with the relationship now entering its nineteenth year.

For nearly two decades, HSBC has partnered with the Cup Match Classic, supporting the two days of cricket action, immersed in the traditions, festivities and community spirit that make the Annual Classic one of Bermuda’s most cherished annual celebrations.

“It is one of the few occasions that brings together virtually every corner of our community in celebration of our heritage, our culture and the shared Bermudian identity.

“We are extremely proud to be able to play a role in helping create memorable experiences leading up to the game and throughout the holiday period.

“This year, we celebrate the Annual Classic being played over 125 years dating back to 1902 when three matches were initially played in the inaugural year. This year will mark 127 Cup Match games played over the time from its inception.

“We are pleased to have a community partner in HSBC, who continues to be a part of the rich history, recognition and celebration of Cup Match, which is to celebrate Emancipation.

“We look forward to the vibrant community engagement throughout the Cup Match season as a result of the partnership with HSBC.

“On July 30 and 31, head on up to 6 Cricket Lane in Somerset donning your red and Blue or blue and blue. Let’s together celebrate Cup Match time in Bermuda.”

“The St George’s Cricket Club is especially pleased to continue its valued partnership with HSBC, alongside the Somerset Cricket Club, this year’s host,” Paynter said.
