WFA appoints Danté Leverock as high-performance director
Danté Leverock has been appointed Director of Player Development & High Performance and lead coach at Warwick Football Academy.
A former professional footballer and captain of the Bermuda National Team, Leverock holds a Uefa Elite Youth A Licence, Uefa B Licence, EXOS Performance Specialist Certification, a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Coaching and Fitness, and a Master's Degree in Education and Leadership. He is also a certified wellness co-ordinator, bringing a holistic approach to developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
Working alongside technical director Richard Todd, Leverock will provide technical leadership across the academy, mentor coaches across multiple age groups and oversee the continued growth of the high performance football programme at Warwick Academy.
His responsibilities will include leading the Academy's technical player development philosophy, delivering High Performance Football training sessions, mentoring age-group co-ordinators and academy coaches, observing training sessions and Bermuda Football Association league matches, providing coach observation and feedback, supporting individual development plans and strengthening player pathways from grass roots through elite football.
Leverock is looking forward to taking on his new role.
“I am honoured to join Warwick Football Academy and excited about the opportunity to help shape the future of football development within the Academy,” he said.
“Developing players and supporting coaches is something I care deeply about and I look forward to working with Richard, the coaching staff, players, and families to continue building a culture of excellence, learning, and opportunity.”
Todd described the appointment as an important milestone in the Academy's continued evolution.
“We are delighted to welcome Danté to Warwick Football Academy,” he said. “His experience at the highest levels of football, combined with his outstanding coaching qualifications and educational background, makes him uniquely qualified to help lead the next phase of our Academy's development.
Danté shares our vision of creating an environment where players are challenged, coaches are supported through mentorship and collaboration, and every young footballer is given the opportunity to reach their full potential. His appointment represents another important step in building one of Bermuda's leading football development programmes.”
Leverock is also the founder of the Da Rock Elite Academy and a continued partnership with WFA is expected to expand opportunities for football development through elite skills academys, position-specific training, small group technical development, holiday football camps, high-performance clinics, coach mentoring and technical support, international football experiences, player identification and showcase opportunities.
Planning is already under way for the 2026-2027 season and WFA offers programmes for boys and girls from introductory grass roots football through High Performance development, creating opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to learn, develop, and enjoy the game in a positive, player-centred environment
