Adam Barboza has been appointed director of corporate social responsibility at Aspen Insurance.

The company says the role has been created to put additional focus on how the re/insurer can make a difference to its communities through charitable and socially responsible activities.

Mr Barboza will also be working with the wider industry to increase the impact of corporate social responsibility across the sector and encouraging a greater level of support and collaboration.

He will report to chairman and group chief executive officer, Mark Cloutier, and will be based in Bermuda.

Mr Barboza spent almost five years with the Bermuda Tourism Authority as sports and events development manager, and was a project manager for the America’s Cup in Bermuda.

He said: “I am excited to be joining the team at Aspen and for the opportunity to make a difference going forward.”
