Shane McDonnell has been appointed client partner at Gnosis, a Bermudian-based IT, cyber and business consultancy.

The appointment is one of several as Gnosis expands its IT and cybersecurity offering in Bermuda, areas in which Mr McDonnell has worked in for more than two decades on the island.

Neil Lupsic, chief executive officer at Gnosis said: “Shane brings over 25 years of experience in telecommunications and technology, along with a strong understanding of the local business landscape and an extensive network across Bermuda's corporate and government community.

“His addition strengthens our team's ability to identify new business opportunities and offer clients informed guidance across telecoms, ICT and cybersecurity. Shane’s local insight, industry knowledge and genuine enthusiasm make him a strong fit as we continue to grow.”

As client partner, Mr McDonnell will be responsible for managing and growing Gnosis's portfolio of enterprise and government client relationships across Bermuda, the company said.

He will act as a strategic adviser helping businesses navigate their technology and cybersecurity challenges and will lead business development across the firm's core service lines.

Mr McDonnell is a senior telecommunications and technology commercial leader with over 25 years of experience spanning technical network engineering, enterprise sales and multi-territory commercial leadership across Bermuda, the Caribbean, Australia and internationally.

His career includes senior roles at Digicel, where he served as head of Digicel Business with responsibility across the Atlantic region encompassing Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Turks & Caicos and the British Virgin Islands.

He also held the position of vice-president, sales and business development at LinkBermuda, and served as senior carrier launch manager at BlackBerry, where he led commercial launches across EMEA and Asia-Pacific markets.

Mr McDonnell said the move top Gnosis felt like a natural evolution after 25 years in telecoms and technology.

He added: “What excited me most about Gnosis was the combination of serious technical credentials and a relationship-driven culture. That's rare, and it’s exactly the kind of organisation I wanted to represent.”
