Visitor injured in head-on collision in Hamilton Parish

Traffic diversions were in place until 5.25pm today after a female visitor on a rental scooter was involved in a head-on collision with a car at the junction of Wilkinson Avenue and Trinity Church Road in Hamilton Parish at about 3.45pm.
Police said that the car appeared to be headed east while the rider was travelling in the opposite direction. The woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with suspected head injuries, as well as injuries to her face, arms and legs.
The car driver was not believed to be injured.
A spokesman said any witnesses should contact police at 211.
