Somerset recalled Jermal Proctor and Kwasi James while naming colt Jaiden Manders in their final Cup Match squad.

In a squad announced just after 11pm on Saturday, the trio replaced Alex Dore, Dalin Richardson and Macquille Walker.

James, a medium pace bowler who was selected as a colt in 2018 when Somerset beat St George’s by an innings and 34 runs, last played for the West Enders in 2019. He was served with a one-year ban by Somerset in 2022 prohibiting him from entering the grounds until August 26, 2023, which effectively ruled him out of challenging for a place in the Cup Match team until 2024.

Proctor made his debut in 2024 at home, before losing his spot last year. He made the switch to Cleveland County this season.

Manders, who scored 82 runs in the Somerset final trial match on Saturday, is following in the footsteps of family members who played in the Annual Classic.
