Temporary no-fly zone set over Somerset Cricket Club

A temporary no-fly zone will be established in the space above Somerset Cricket Club for the period of the Cup Match holiday, the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority announced.
The no-fly zone applies to non-participating aircraft, unmanned aircraft such as drones, microlights, gliders, airships and balloons.
A drone operated by a BCAA-approved pilot will offer a live broadcast during the two-day event, necessitating the no-fly zone.
The restriction will run on July 30 and 31 from 7am to 7pm.
The BCAA further reminded attendees that rules and regulations regarding drones — including permanent no-fly zones — remain in operation. More information can be found on the authority’s website.
