Police today renewed an appeal for witnesses after a firearms incident in Smith’s on Sunday night.

Investigations continued after multiple shots were fired at about 10.47pm in the area of Harrington Sound Road, between Broken Hill Lane and Broken Hill Road.

There have been no reports of injuries.

Detectives from the serious crime unit were pursuing all lines of inquiry, including engagement with members of the surrounding community.

They appealed for people to contact police if they were travelling along Harrington Sound Road between 10.30pm and 11pm on Sunday and may have witnessed suspicious activity involving someone wearing dark clothing and riding a dark motorcycle eastbound.

Motorists with dash cam footage were also urged to review recordings and contact investigators if they have anything that may assist with inquiries.
