Deadline for energy scholarship nears
Eligible Bermudian students were reminded by the Ministry of Home Affairs to apply for a $20,000 scholarship as a July 31 deadline approaches.
The award aims to support those who are pursuing studies in energy related and technical disciplines.
It builds on the ministry’s flagship energy bursary programme, which offered two students $25,000 each last month.
A government spokeswoman said that the continued investment in the island’s young people reflects the Government’s commitment to developing local talent and strengthening Bermuda’s capacity in the evolving energy sector.
She said the bursary is a key initiative outlined in the Throne Speech and underscores the importance of cultivating a skilled workforce to support Bermuda’s transition to a more sustainable and resilient energy future.
Eligible Bermudian students were encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to further their education while contributing to the island’s energy future.
