A man has been accused of assaulting and threatening a police sergeant during Cup Match.
Tafari Hypolite, 27, denied the offences, as well as a charge that he violently resisted arrest, when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court today.
Mr Hypolite, from St George’s, allegedly committed the offences on Friday.
The court heard the alleged incidents happened at Somerset Cricket Club.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson adjourned the case to August 31 and released Mr Hypolite on $3,000 bail until that time.
