Allshores shares see $6.8m trade
Allshores saw its second big trading day on the Bermuda Stock Exchange this week as $6.8 million worth of its stock traded on Friday. A total of 234,772 of the insurer’s shares changed hands as the price remained unchanged on $29.
This came after $13.2 million worth of Allshores shares traded on Wednesday, meaning trade in the insurer topped $20 million for the week.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged on 3,948.83. Turnover totalled $6,808,390.
For the week, the index gained 194.02 points, or 4.91 per cent. The increase was driven by a 5.5 per cent increase in the share price of Butterfield Bank and a 3.6 per cent rise for Allshores.
BSX volume for the trading week was 1,152,037 shares, while turnover totalled $20,358,697.
Meanwhile, Butterfield’s US-listed shares rose 32 cents, or 0.52 per cent, on Friday to close the week at $62.32 on the New York Stock Exchange on below-average volume of 109,929 shares.
