Goalkeeper coach Dashun Cooper continues to grow in stature after he secured a casual women’s talent pathway coach role with the English FA.

The Bermudian, who left his position at Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season after three years with the West London club, will be part of a group of coaches charged with helping to spot and develop talent for England’s women’s youth teams during the 2026-27 period.

“I’m going to be a casual women’s talent pathway coach for the FA for the 2026-27 season,” Cooper said.

“A massive thank you to Kasha Petit and Mali Colloredo for the opportunity.”

While not a full-time position as it requires him to work one or twice a month, the 33-year-old expects this opportunity to advance his career.

“I would’ve never imagined myself working for the FA,” he said.

“I think it does and will do a lot for my coaching career. It definitely opens up some more doors and opportunities, so I’m very happy.

“In my eyes that Three Lions badge is a big one, so to have that on my CV is crazy. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all.”

Cooper performed a similar role at the Bermuda Football Association for three years. He also came close to landing a position with the Football Association of Wales.
