A charity has launched a professional development programme to strengthen Bermuda’s workplaces.

Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda’s interactive two-day workshop, “Navigating Conflict: Restorative Practices in the Workplace”, will take place on September 14 and 15.

The course aims to provide participants with practical tools for addressing conflict constructively.

It is designed for human resource professionals, managers, supervisors, administrators, directors, project managers, organisational development specialists, team leaders and anyone responsible for healthy and collaborative workplace environments.

The workshop will be facilitated by Michelle Scott and Lynne Winfield, experienced HR professionals.

Participants will learn how to approach difficult conversations proactively and address workplace challenges directly and respectfully.

“Conflict is a natural part of working with others, but how we respond to it can either weaken or strengthen our organisations,” said Stacey-Lee Williams, executive director of Curb.

“Through this programme, we want to equip Bermuda’s workplace leaders and teams with practical restorative tools that allow people to feel heard, valued and empowered to contribute.

“This can lead to stronger teams, improved employee engagement, greater workplace satisfaction and increased staff retention.”

The workshop offers up to 12 professional development hours.

Participants who successfully complete the two-day programme will receive a certificate of completion.
