Kearns becomes Carey Olsen Bermuda partner
Laura Kearns has been made a partner in the trusts and private wealth department at law firm Carey Olsen in Bermuda.
Ms Kearns’ practice covers all aspects of trust law.
She advises both trustees and beneficiaries on non-contentious restructurings and blessing applications before the local court. She also carries out a broad range of estate planning work including will drafting, estate administration and deals with matters of incapacity.
The new partner joined Carey Olsen in 2022, having qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2015.
She practised in both a leading private client firm in London as well as a regional firm in the South West before moving to Bermuda and is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Bermuda partner and global head of Carey Olsen’s trusts and private wealth practice, Keith Robinson, said since joining the firm, Ms Kearns has made an outstanding contribution to her department.
“She is known for her collaborative approach, excellent client service and for being a pleasure to work with,” he said. “Her promotion is a well-deserved reflection of her talent, knowledge and the value she brings to both the firm and to our clients.
