Driver fined over three-vehicle Causeway crash
A woman who was involved in a three-vehicle collision along the Causeway was fined $800 in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Jennifer Walker, 57, admitted driving without due care and attention in the collision, which involved two cars and a water truck.
The crash, on July 15, 2025, resulted in the Causeway briefly closing to traffic.
Walker, from Hamilton Parish, and her female passenger were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after all three vehicles were damaged.
She told police the collision occurred when she went to grab a water bottle in her vehicle.
In addition to the fine, Walker had ten demerit points added to her licence.
