A man charged with 23 drug-related offences will face sentencing this month for four of the allegations.

Jay Woolridge, 40, pleaded guilty in Supreme Court to having and using criminal property, namely money, between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2023.

He also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis resin and possession of THC, all with intent to supply.

The three charges date to August 4, 2022 in Smith’s.

The remaining 19 charges against Woolridge, which included possession of drug equipment, possession of drugs and refusal to give a handwriting specimen, will remain on file.

The court heard that Woolridge, from Smith’s, had $10,000 in criminal funds and about $500,000 worth of drugs.

He declined to participate in any social reports, such as a social inquiry report to learn more about his background, and did not put forth any arguments for bail.

Puisne Judge Alan Richards adjourned the case until September 29 for sentencing and remanded Woolridge in custody.

Woolridge threw up a peace sign to the public gallery as he was escorted out of court.
