Warwick Academy’s principal has praised recent graduates for achieving an “excellent” set of exam results, and wished them well as they move on to pastures new.

David Horan, school principal, praised the International Baccalaureate, BTEC and IGCSE examination results, saying: “I am extremely proud of this excellent set of results and of the dedication shown by our students. We congratulate every student on their success and look forward to following their future achievements.

“Of particular significance is the fact that 90 per cent of our Year 13 sixth-form graduates secured places at their first-choice universities, and 100 per cent at a university of their choice — a testament to the ambition of our students and the quality of support and guidance they receive at Warwick Academy.

“What is pleasing is that these results are not a one-off achievement. Year after year, our students continue to achieve outstanding outcomes across the IB, BTEC and IGCSE programmes.

“The consistency of these results over many years reflects the strength of our academic programmes, the expertise of our teachers, the hard work of our students and support of their parents.”

The school’s IB diploma programme continues to perform above global averages. For the seventh consecutive year, students achieved a 100 per cent pass rate, while recording an average score of 35 points.

The leading IB diploma performers, at 35 points and above, were Oscar Regan, Andrew Mao, Elanna Fulton, Ann Pursell, Lucy Howie, Dylan Menzies, Chloé Samuels, Jorgia White, Rhiannon Morgan, Varshini Srinivasan, Michael Browne and Zachary Johnson.

Jayden Smith and Zion Mills, following the IB career-related programme, achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.

Students following the IB individual subjects pathway also achieved strong outcomes, with an average score of 28.5 points.

The leading performers, at 29 points and above, were Mark Lewis, Ailie Waddington, Annika Henderson, Skyla Furbert, Christian Botelho, Amaya Husband and Jackson Langley.

Warwick Academy students pursuing BTEC vocational qualifications excelled, with nine distinction star and ten distinction grades.

These leading BTEC performers were Alexander Pigott, Cameron Addiscott, Sophia Dalene, Sophia Ward, Olivia Maughan, Destiny Greaves, Rhiana Hayward, Cody Moniz, Elias Reece and Oliver Soares.

Additionally, at the IGCSE level, Warwick Academy Year 11 students delivered high outcomes.

Those achieving five or more of the very top A* (9/8) grades were Denis Daurov, Sophie Greenway, Kylen Richard, Florence Russell, Lindsay Bull, Ethan Wells, Gabriella Francis, Narayan Mangar, Avyukt Jain, Diana Bishop, Nina Guishard and Ava Simons.
